This is a generation full of technocrats who always find ways to pirate software even before it becomes officially available in the market.
Microsoft has never been able to save itself from this even though it boasts about its size and sophistication. Microsoft Office 2010, aiming to replace the current MS Office 2007, has been a victim to the same. The software, which isn’t even officially released yet, is widely available on various torrent and third party websites for download.
The new Microsoft Office portrays that the company has been working hard to improve on the earlier version and provide the users with better and more efficient toolkit. As for the recently released Beta 2, there are many new features included – with the most significant change being the new installation procedure for test versions of Office 2010 SKUs. Previously, product key was required by the setup after it had been initiated but as of Build 14.0.4514.1009, Office 2010 asks for the special unique installation product key to activate it even before the setup has started, thus making things difficult for those trying to get Office 2010 from illegal sources.

Accompanying the leaked bits of Office 2010 Beta 2, few activation keys have also been published on various websites. These keys are designed to activate both the 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x64) versions of Office 2010. Although this version of Office is available on many websites for free download, the Russian Website Wzor, which is considered to be the original source of the leak, says that this version would end up as the successor to Office 2007.
Microsoft is expected to make the official release of Office 2010 Beta 2 at this year’s Tech-Ed Europe in Berlin, Germany in the first week of November 2009.
